Sorry to all of you who thought you might be able to buy the Playboy Mansion and live with the infamous Hugh Hefner. Yes, it was a stipulation of the contract that says that whoever buys the home, must allow The Hef (who is 90) to live there until the day he dies.
So who bought it?
None other than Daren Metropoulos, billionaire heir to Twinkies and PBR.
Metropoulos, 32, is the former co-chief executive of PBR, and is working with Apollo Global Management LLC, to revitalize the Hostess Brands–including Twinkies.
The young heir currently owns the home next door to the Playboy Mansion and has been a frequent party-goer for years. He even hosted a birthday party for Snoop Dogg back in 2012.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Metropoulos plans to connect the two properties once The Hef passes away, but he still wants to preserve the architectural legacy.
Still, he promises to continue the party legacy.
Think he needs a beer pong table?
